How Netflix Changed HR

This isn’t procurement, why is it here! I included the slides because one of my MBA study modules required me to get to grips with HR Management & Organisation Behaviour. How Netflix changed HR isn’t something you would ordinarily expect in the same sentence, it makes the sentence interesting. Though the website is predominately related to procurement templates, I believe it’s important to understand how different departments or even megabrands operate, knowledge helps you develop your thinking, therefore when I find any interesting material I will add it to the website.

If you are responsible for buying HR services, it is beneficial to understand the key trends in that particular area, to understand the challenges of your colleagues, this will give you greater depth when engaging with key stakeholders. Be commercial first before you act as a buyer, procurement can support stakeholder groups to achieve organisational objectives.  Reviewing your role through the prism someone else’s lenses will help you become more empathetic to their needs, create trust and develop more than category experience based on just a buyers perspective.
